With the Ducks facing off against established powerhouses and emerging contenders alike, each game offers a unique test.
Key Ducks Competitors
-
University of Washington: Given their storied PNW rivalry against the Ducks, the Huskies bring an extra dimension to every duel. Their games feel like more than just a basketball match, as both teams vie not only for victory but also for regional pride, making these encounters emotionally charged and fiercely competitive.
-
Oregon State University: The Beavers, as Oregon's in-state rivals, make their games against the Ducks a high-stakes affair. These rivalry games are among the most anticipated in the Pac-12. Every game carries the weight of state supremacy and alumni pride, transcending the importance of regular season standings.
-
University of Arizona: The Wildcats, with their high-flying offense and robust defense, are a major hurdle for the Ducks. Their games often turn into showcases of basketball prowess, with both teams vying for dominance in the Pac-12. Arizona's consistency in producing NBA-level talent adds an extra layer of intensity to these matchups.
-
University of California, Los Angeles: The Bruins' legacy sets a high bar for their battles. Their contests frequently feel like chess matches, with strategic coaching and high-caliber players making calculated moves. Their ability to blend a strong historical record with contemporary play makes every game interesting.
-
University of Southern California: The Trojans, known for their aggressive play and athleticism, provide a unique challenge to the Ducks. USC's games against Oregon feature a clash of styles, with both teams showcasing their strengths in speed and agility, making for fast-paced and unpredictable contests.
Matthew Knight Arena
Matthew Knight Arena, named after the eldest son of Nike founder and University of Oregon alumnus Phil Knight, serves as the home venue for the Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball team. Opened in 2011, this modern facility has a seating capacity of 12,364 and hosts not only basketball but also volleyball games and Oregon tumbling. Besides university sports, the arena is a venue for a variety of events, including concerts and monster truck rallies.
Parking
The arena is at the edge of a residential neighborhood and visitors should respect residential permit parking in the area. There is a designated Event Parking District, and ticket holders who cannot secure spaces on campus can expect to walk a fair distance or take a shuttle to the game.
At the Overpark Garage (10th and Oak), parking is free after 5:00 p.m., and there is a convenient shuttle stop next door. Shuttles begin running 90 minutes before events. ADA parking (with placards) is available off East 13th Ave next to the Ford Alumni Center.
To reduce hassle on arrival, GoTickets offers buyers the chance to reserve parking during purchases. We highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to save a spot when you purchase your Oregon Ducks basketball tickets.
Alternative Transportation
The Lane Transit District provides bus services in Eugene, so check the LTD website for available routes and schedules. Additionally, you can use the aforementioned campus shuttles as an efficient way to reach the arena from nearby stops.
