About ScHoolboy Q

ScHoolboy Q was born Quincy Matthew Hanley in Wiesbaden, Germany, but now hails from South Los Angeles, where he is a prominent figure on the hip-hop scene. He began his rise to fame in 2006 and gained traction with the release of his mixtapes ScHoolboy Turned Hustla in 2008 and Gangsta & Soul in 2009. After Signing with Top Dawg Entertainment, he dropped his debut studio album, Setbacks, in 2011 and its follow-up, Habits & Contradictions, a year later. His biggest breakthrough came with the release of his 2014 album Oxymoron, which soared to number one on the US Billboard 200.
