The student section, known as the "Kennel Club," is renowned for its enthusiastic support, significantly contributing to a home-court advantage.

Notable Gonzaga University Basketball Players
Few programs boast the sustained success of the Bulldogs. When you attend a Gonzaga men's basketball game, you could be getting a peek at the next Naismith Hall of Famer! The powerhouse has produced many professional athletes, including the following standouts:
-
John Stockton (1980–1984): Drafted 16th overall by the Utah Jazz in 1984, Stockton became one of the NBA's greatest point guards of all time, holding records for most career assists and steals. A 10-time All-Star and Hall of Fame inductee at the college and professional level, his legacy was built upon the foundational skills he developed at Gonzaga.
-
Dan Dickau (2000–2002): After transferring to Gonzaga and wearing a Bulldogs jersey for two years, Dickau was selected 28th overall by the Sacramento Kings, then traded to the Atlanta Hawks. His best NBA years included a stellar season with the New Orleans Hornets that earned him a reputation as a solid sharpshooter and playmaker.
-
Ronny Turiaf (2001–2005): Selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2005, Turiaf had a shaky start after the team physical revealed an enlarged aortic root which required surgery. Once he was able to get back on the hardwood, he carved out a solid NBA career marked by dominant defensive prowess and remarkable rebounding. He won a title with the Miami Heat in 2012.
-
Adam Morrison (2003–2006): Morrison led the NCAA in scoring in 2006 and was named the WCC Player of the Year, so it wasn’t much of a surprise when he was chosen 3rd overall by the Charlotte Bobcats. A trade to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 worked out in his favor, as he won two NBA championships with the franchise during their 2009–2010 run.
-
Domantas Sabonis (2014–2016): Drafted 11th overall by the Orlando Magic in 2016, then traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Sabonis quickly established himself as a talented big man with a high basketball IQ. During his tenure with the Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings, he became a multi-year All-Star, and in 2023, he made the All-NBA Third Team.
-
Rui Hachimura (2016–2019): In 2019, when he was picked ninth overall by the Washington Wizards, Hachimura became the first Japanese player to be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft. Known for his scoring and versatility, he made the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2020 and has lent his talents to both the Wizards and the Lakers.
